Raw materials are becoming increasingly scarce and prices are rising. Although we are using these expensive raw materials more and more efficiently, residual materials are still constantly generated. These residual materials represent a largely untapped potential. It is essential to utilize these materials and return them to the energy cycle as often as possible.

Which weighs more? A ton of lead or a ton of cotton wool?

To prevent the collected, recyclable raw materials from exhausting our storage capacities – or to avoid the savings from material return being negated by storage costs – it is essential to reduce their volume to the smallest possible level. By using briquetting presses, compressible materials can be reduced to an average compression ratio of up to 10:1 (up to 20:1 for aluminum!).
