Briquetting presses for plastics and other materials

To prevent the collected, recyclable raw materials from exhausting our storage capacities – or to avoid the savings from material return being negated by storage costs – it is essential to reduce their volume to the smallest possible level. By using briquetting presses, compressible materials can be reduced to an average compression ratio of up to 10:1 (up to 20:1 for aluminum!).

Dust in general

Where industrial filter dust is collected, the risk of spontaneous combustion is very high, depending on the material. A dust press specifically developed for this purpose uses high pressure to compact the surface so effectively that no special protective measures are necessary. The enclosure of, for example, an expensive CO2 fire suppression system is completely unnecessary. After briquetting, industrial dust, metal dust, and dust from laser processing can not only be stored without problems but, if necessary, also directly reintroduced into the melting process. The briquetting press can usually be easily installed under cyclones that eject dust particles from the air. The use of rotary valves or similar systems can often be avoided.
