Briquetting presses for wood

Wood is a natural product. Due to its high compression into briquettes, it burns in a manner similar to coal. Furthermore, burning wood briquettes is CO2-neutral, as only as much CO2 is released into the atmosphere as a growing tree absorbs through photosynthesis. By briquetting wood waste (wood chips, shavings, sawdust), eight times the amount of wood waste can be stored in the same storage space. Moreover, the risk of a dust explosion is reduced to such an extent by binding the wood dust that pressure relief vents are no longer required for these rooms. With the growing discussions surrounding CO2 taxes, the greenhouse effect, and steadily rising oil prices, this is an attractive and cost-effective alternative!

Natural warmth

Wood briquettes can be used not only in fireplaces and tiled stoves, but in almost any solid fuel heating system. 500 kg of briquettes made from wood shavings have the same heating value as 200 liters of heating oil. Even after briquetting, the wood remains a natural product, as it is pressed under high pressure without binders into uniformly sized and hard briquettes. This meets the requirements of DIN 51731 – the German standard for wood pellets.

Dust in general

Where industrial filter dust is collected, the risk of spontaneous combustion is very high, depending on the material. A dust press specifically developed for this purpose uses high pressure to compact the surface so effectively that no special protective measures are necessary. The enclosure of, for example, an expensive CO2 fire suppression system is completely unnecessary. After briquetting, industrial dust, metal dust, and dust from laser processing can not only be stored without problems but, if necessary, also directly reintroduced into the melting process. The briquetting press can usually be easily installed under cyclones that eject dust particles from the air. The use of rotary valves or similar systems can often be avoided.

Your benefit:

Reduced storage space due to volume reduction.
Reduction of transport and handling costs.
Increased security.
Increased revenue from recycling.
Reducing fuel costs.
Additional source of income from the sale of wood briquettes.
